Our old logo (the gold coin with the 6 New England states) had been used for decades and its digital resolution was poor.

In 2014, the NEOS board decided to change our logo. The new design was selected from a number of others.  It was created by Aris Thanos, an artistically gifted ophthalmology resident then at Massachusettes Eye and Ear Infirmary. The Board felt that a simpler, cleaner design would convey the image of NEOS as a timeless modern ophthalmic educational organization (but with over a 130-year history).
