Call for Papers

Papers for the 26th Annual Meeting of the American Society for Precision Engineering are being solicited in the technical areas listed below. Topics related to education or historical perspectives on precision engineering are also appropriate. Papers will be considered for oral presentation or poster presentation.

Technical Topic Areas:
• Applications of Precision Engineering in Manufacturing
• Control of Precision Machines and Processes
• Interferometry and Optics
• Nanotechnology
• Novel Equipment and Processes
• Precision Machining Processes and Applications
• Precision Metrology



Short Abstract Guidelines & Submissions

  • The short abstract must be submitted by April 1, 2011 to be considered for an oral or poster presentation.
  • Short abstract submissions must be in pdf format.
  • Short abstract submissions must follow the short abstract template.
  • Short abstract submissions must not exceed two pages in length.
  • Submit the pdf-formatted, two page abstract via ASPE's online submission page.


Scholarship applications are also due on April 1, 2011. Student scholarships will be available to full-time graduate students enrolled in an accredited university. The grants will include waiver of conference and tutorial registration fees, and a stipend to assist with travel, lodging and meal expenses.
